about
Around March 2023, I started working on a song. I poured my heart and soul into this song.
The song is called: "You Don't Deserve My Tears"
For songs, I can get inspiration from many sources, like movies, stories, art, or pictures. This time, the song is inspired by my own life. It's about an event that occurred that I had to heal from. I'm fine now. But this song is meant to show that the healing process of something can take a long time, but that we can also come out of it stronger.
The song is meant to be powerful and hopeful in a way. However, of course it can always mean something different to someone personally. And that's one of the things I love so much about music. To one person a song can mean a certain thing and to the other person, it can mean something completely different.
I chose the date February 24th as the release date for my song, because it will be: 2-24-24 and I like fun dates with double numbers.
The song length is 4:44, which is an angel sign. Originally the song being 4:44 didn't have a deeper meaning, I just liked the double numbers. While working on the song I kept seeing 444 which was a fun coincidence.
lyrics
Lyrics:
I cried a thousand rivers over you
I saw the world in different shades of blue
I thought I would never get over this
The memories got stuck to me like glue
On repeat, I play the same old loop
I thought that I would never get through this
Something told me I should let it go
Something told me I was not alone
Now all I can hear is the echo (the echo)
And it goes
After all those years
My tears made my vision clear
Our connection, it disappeared
And you don’t deserve my tears
After all those years
My tears made my vision clear
Our connection, it disappeared
And you don’t deserve my tears
You don’t deserve my
I got to know the darkest side of you
Now I see that it was all a ruse
In the end, I lost all my trust in you
And I know some things are not meant to be
And I’ll find comfort in the destiny
Now all I can hear is the voice in me
On repeat
After all those years
My tears made my vision clear
Our connection, it disappeared
And you don’t deserve my tears
After all those years
My tears made my vision clear
Our connection, it disappeared
And you don’t deserve my tears
You don’t deserve my
I hope you'll find the peace you need
All that's left are memories
I need to dry my tears, be free
I hope you'll find the peace you need
All that's left are memories
I need to dry my tears, be free
Dry my tears, be free
